Recreate Your Favourite Locos and Aircraft
All our standard designs can be fully personalised!!
English Electric was a British company formed in 1918. They produced transformers, electrical equipment, railway locomotives and aircraft. Many railway enthusiasts will know the name as the builders of many popular diesel locos during the 1950s and 1960s, including class 20, class 37, class 40, class 50 and class 55 locos. Some of these locos are still in daily use.
Aviation enthusiasts will know the name from the legendary cold war lightning interceptor aircraft. English Electric also built the Canberra bomber which was sold to several foreign air forces and is still in use in a modified form by NASA. In the 1960s English Electric formed the British aircraft corporation with fellow aircraft manufacturers vickers and Bristol. In 1968 BAC merged with GEC.
At the Swanage diesel gala in May, we launched our new fun Class 50 design featuring Dave and Indy – aka 50021 Rodney and 50026 Indomitable.
We have often been asked for kid-centric and fun designs so thought we would make our 2 favourite Class 50 locos the first to get the kid treatment.
All of our garments, bags and hats are available with the Dave n Indy design –

We have just added a silver colour scheme 56 Squadron F1 Lightning and a Shackleton MR2 to the embroidered clothing range.
The silver 56 Squadron Lightning complements the existing 5 Squadron and 11 Squadron Lightning F6 clothing designs.
The Shackleton MR2 is in the earlier white colour scheme and complements our Sea Grey Shackleton MR3 aircraft.
The Lightning F1A embroidery is based on the 56 Squadron Firebirds display aircraft that were based at RAF Wattisham in the early 1960s.
The F1A Lightning was a very early development of the aircraft type and featured only missiles with no gun. The focus at the time was rate of climb performance and high speed.
The new Shackleton embroidery is based on the MR2 version and is in a white colour scheme with dark grey upper bodyside.
The Shackleton MR2 development saw the aircraft fitted with an upgraded radar which was housed in a new radome behind the bomb bay doors.
The design depicts the dorsal gun turret. This turret was removed shortly after entering service but I have modelled it in place.
As with all our embroidered clothing, you can easily personalise these designs via the on screen product options.
Choose your own words above and/or below the embroidered aircraft to create a truly unique personalised garment.
Let me know what you think of these new embroidered aircraft!
Cheers for now

I have undertaken a big update of the popular BR Tops Loco Data Panel designs.
Following requests and feedback from customers, I have reviewed the loco data panel designs. This review has seen the revision and updating of some designs, some new classes added and more liveries added.
The actual designs are tweaked to reflect actual photographic evidence of each loco and reflect individual details.
The 1st batch of livery revisions focus on the BR Green colour schemes.
There are several versions of BR Green and they are applied differently to locos depending on their class.
The BR green livery option now reflects the correct application of the livery on each class as shown in the products below.
The standard BR Blue diesel loco design is now joined by the AC Electric blue loco design and the Electric BR Blue with chrome numbers.
Each depot had their own little unofficial tweaks which they applied to their locos in addition to the many varied official logos, plaques and motifs. I research these tweaks for each individual loco and apply them as appropriate for each order as shown below.
I have been adding more loco classes featuring the ‘less mainstream’ and unsuccessful British Rail early modernisation scheme.
Another refinement is the weathering and flame cut effects applied to the data panels. Each effect is uniquely created and applied to each data panel order. No two effects will be the same, even if you order 2 of the same weathered loco!
If a loco was fitted with a nameplate you can select to have your design incorporate the locos nameplate!
If you are a fan of steam locos or multiple units, then we have plenty to offer you as well.
These designs are available on our full range of gift products including –
Thanks for reading and dont hesitate to give me a shout with any questions.
Stay safe!

Following on from our recent addition of new liveries to our existing Class 43 HST and Class 47 embroidered designs, as promised we now have some more new locos –
Both loco types are extremely popular and have been much requested by customers. This brings our total loco classes so far to 13 with the choice of 15 different livery options!!
The ‘Deltic’ is the prototype loco for the legendary Class 55 Deltic locos. The locomotive entered service in 1955 in a striking light blue and creme colour scheme. It was designed for high speed services on the ECML and its success led to the production of the 22 Class 55 locos. The Deltic Prototype is a much requested design that has been sold several times as personalised designs following people contacting me – now is the time to make it available online!
[ux_products type=”row” columns=”2″ equalize_box=”true” cat=”277″ products=”2″ tags=”11692″]The Class 35 Hymeks are another popular class of loco that are regularly requested. The Hymeks were synonymous with the Great Western operating area of British Rail, being regular performers on trains from Paddington to Devon and South Wales. They entered service between 1961 and 1964 and had a very short service life. The Hymeks were diesel-hydraulic locos, a design that quickly fell out of favour with British Rail. Withdrawals started in 1971 with the last leaving service in 1975. The design is available in either BR Green or BR Blue

Our latest loco data panel update is all about shunters – those humble and often overlooked locos that were once seen in almost every siding and depot throughout the UK.
We have added most shunter classes along with some of the common livery variations –
All of the shunter data panels are available in BR Blue and Br Green. The Class 08 and Class 09 data panels are available in several more colour schemes.
[ux_products columns=”3″ auto_slide=”5000″ equalize_box=”true” ids=”68738,68739,68741,68740,68742″]The tiny Class 03 shunters could be found mainly on the Eastern Region of British Rail. They were so small and light they were often seen with a small match wagon to help ensure they activated the track circuits. Nothing quite as unsettling for a signaller to see than a shunter disappear from his panel!
The Class 06 shunters could be found mainly in Scotland and only consisted of around a dozen locos.
The Class 08 could be seen everywhere in the UK with over 900 being built. Almost every siding and depot in the UK would have at least one 08 shunter lurking somewhere. In the initial release of data panels you can get the following livery versions –
There were some really cool depot colour scheme variations and special colour schemes. These will be added as part of our ‘Special Edition’ data panel range which will be launched in the next few weeks.
The Class 09 shunters were predominantly found on the Southern Region of the UK. They were fitted with waist height brake fittings to make it safer for guards to couple up the trains in 3rd rail electrified areas. Once privatisation took hold the 09s spread their wings and could be found all over the UK.
There were only 3 Class 13 shunters which were purposely built to work the hump yard at Tinsley. The class 13 was essentially a pair of Class 08s coupled together with the cab being removed from the front loco.
Our flash sales on Facebook, Instagram and our email newsletters have been going down a storm and this weeks features data panels at knock down prices so check our social media to grab a bargain!
1st to claim an item gets it – simple as that!
Is there a loco class we might have missed or a particular livery you would like to see?
If so, let us know in the comments or on social media!!
Please stay safe everyone and we look forward to seeing you again at a show somewhere once this all blows over.
In the meantime, here is the link to the latest on how the Covid 19 situation is affecting our operations and your orders.
All the best for now and I look forward to hearing your feedback on these new data panels – stay safe!!!

To coincide with the Severn Valley Railway Class 50 Golden Jubilee Gala, we are running a raffle to raise funds for Class 50 50026 Indomitable.
In light of the circumstances last Saturday, where the start-up following engine repairs didnt quite go to plan, this fund raising takes on an even more pressing importance. The original plan was to run the raffle from the stall during the event, but in light of the sad news of 50026s withdrawal from the event, we wanted to start now and increase the visibility of the raffle.
Tickets are available online now and from the stall at Bewdley station throughout the gala until 3.30pm on Saturday. The draw will be made at 4pm on Saturday 6th October.
We have some great prizes up for grabs as follows –
1st Prize – A signed limited edition print of 50026 in Large Logo livery and current Revised NSE livery
2nd Prize – A piston from the power unit in 50026 (IH6937)
3rd Prize – A signed limited edition print showing the evolution of 50026 from D426 in BR Blue in the various liveries carried above a full picture of 50026 in current livery
4th prize – A big end shell from 50026s power unit
5th prize – limited edition ’50s at 50′ t-shirt
* prints signed by Paul, Darryl, Lee & Midi
Tickets are priced at £2 each and you can buy as many as you want.
Your raffle numbers will be emailed to you following checkout.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/3″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″ css=”.vc_custom_1538341037243{background-color: #0098da !important;background-position: center !important;background-repeat: no-repeat !important;background-size: cover !important;border: 1px solid #00478c !important;border-radius: 5px !important;}”][vc_column_text]

Please support 50026 and the team who have literally busted a gut to have her ready for the gala. The difficulties encountered last Saturday are a big reminder of the fickleness of diesel preservation. Despite the great recent success stories of 50044 and 50033, 50026 shows that even with state of the art facilities, a fantastically dedicated and technically sound support team and 100s of man hours of work, things dont always go well.
Dont forget the profits from any product you buy here goes towards 50021 & 50026 so if you dont fancy a bash at the raffle you might find a nice little gift and still help both locos out!
Thanks for reading and hope you buy a few tickets, we look forward to seeing you at Bewdley!
Cheers
