I will work with you to commission a stunning digital painting artwork of your chosen subject.
I have many happy customers who have commissioned a unique digital painting of their pride and joy. A few examples are shown below[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_media_grid grid_id=”vc_gid:1510599949399-f07dfe57-060e-5″ include=”44432,44382,44073″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
The commissioned art design process is completely flexible. You choose an existing style from a reference picture in my existing galleries or we can discuss a style that appeals to you.
Once a style is chosen I will start work on your digital painting. At various stages I will send you developmental views of how your commissioned artwork is progressing. This allows you to review the digital painting and guide the look of the final artwork.
Once the image is completed you can choose what type of product your picture can be mounted upon.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
My hourly artist time rate is extremely competitive and can be discounted if you allow me to add the picture to my portfolio and use it for resale on my site. You always have the right to maintain exclusivity but I retain copyright of all developmental and final images.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
Your commissioned artwork can be mounted on any of our wall art products including canvas, metal, wood and acrylic. Wood, metal and canvas prints are available up to 72″ x 48″.

Here it is at last, the eagerly anticipated new Class 40 in the Snow digital art print!
The scene is set in the winter of 1981 and features a Class 40 hauled passenger train speeding through a railway station. The Class 40 is in BR Blue colour scheme with a rake of mark 1 coaches in the British Rail blue and grey colour scheme.
The Class 40 depicted features the marker light and disc front end arrangement typical of the first batch of locos from D200 to D324.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
This picture will be unveiled to the public at the East Lancs Railway Diesel Gala today (18th February 2017). Mailing list subscribers have already seen this print and been able to buy at discounted prices for a week, which is usual practice for most new pictures I release.

I have a new dedicated military art gallery page to bring all my military pictures and digital art portfolio together. In response to your interest and enthusiasm towards my military art at our shows, I have worked on increasing my military art work collection. I have now created a military art gallery to bring all military themed artwork together in one single gallery.
Art work is still visible in their respective categories such as aircraft, vehicles or digital art. This new gallery simply brings everything with a military theme into an additional picture gallery. Its just another way to help you quickly get to a relevant type of picture.
Please let me know your thoughts on this new military gallery.
Thanks for reading

Wow, what a year 2016 was! Personally and professionally, 2016 was a year to remember.
Personally, several ‘bucket list’ items were ticked off as we traveled across the US and The Caribbean during the spring.
Professionally we made great strides in solidifying the GDMK Images brand as a quality source of creative and unique artwork and photography. 2016 was our first full year taking our art stall around the country and was a great success. Its really satisfying so many people show their appreciation for our work.
It’s easy to bulk buy mass produced products at a low price point and resell them. We are not about selling for the sake of selling. We are about creating something different – something a little special that can’t be bought elsewhere.
I am passionate about the subjects in my work and I hope that comes through in my unique art style.
We made some great friends and met some really cool people along the way. Its not all about selling you know!
Below is a quick video summary of GDMK Images in 2016. The first video shows a taster of what you will see in our #tedontourusa trip blog posts. Part 1 of the Ted on Tour USA blog series is already available.
The second video is the soundtrack of our summer events, a soundtrack dominated by English Electric, Merlins, Napier, a bit of sizzling steam and a few other oddities thrown in![/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

So we are back home recovering from a long three days at the Flying Legends airshow. All the orders we took have been processed and will be with their respective buyers early next week. Thanks again guys n gals, your trade and support is much appreciated!
Ted had a great time at the Flying Legends with his personal highlight being a date with B-17 Flying Fortress Sally B!! That bear gets around, last visit to Duxford he gets a flight in a C-47 Skytrain!
Many thanks to Andrew and Geraldine for arranging this![/vc_column_text][ess_grid alias=”teds-date-with-sally-b-at-flying-legends”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
As usual, the flying display was pretty good, although the weather did prevent a couple of displays. My personal favourite aircraft were the Avenger and Sea Fury – both very impressive. The famous Duxford ‘Tail Chases’ were a little thin on the ground. I’m not sure if this was to do the changes imposed by the CAA in response to Shoreham or simply there being insufficient aircraft?
Unusually for the Flying Legends, a modern fighter made an appearance in the shape of the USAF F-22 Raptor. The Raptor flew with a P-51 in the USAF Heritage flight display. I have seen many F-22 aircraft at Nellis but this was the first display I have seen and it was pretty impressive.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
From our viewpoint, although sales were healthy, the crowds did seem thin on the ground. I suppose this was to be expected as the event clashed with RIAT at Fairford, the British Grand Prix and some funny game with yellow balls in South London.
Hopefully there will be a nice healthy crowd when we return in September!

Here is an interesting discussion point. What are your thoughts on image theft by people taking photos of artwork? I am getting increasing numbers of people innocently walking into the stall and covertly taking pictures. This activity was rife at Flying Legends.
I don’t know why people would do that as much better quality images can be had from this site and even better quality pictures can be bought there and then! I stop most people and they seem annoyed I intervene and prevent them taking photos. I wouldn’t mind so much if they were up front and said ‘great picture I want to share it on social media’ and gave us a mention.
Is it theft? Would people expect to walk into an art museum or exhibition and snap away unchallenged?
I am always on the lookout for image infringement and people who use my pictures illegally. To a certain extent it is part and parcel of the online world, but surely it is something more sinister in the physical world?
What really annoys me is this increasing clandestine photography of my artwork.
What are your thoughts? Is it acceptable or is there a limit to what can be ‘had for free’?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

It was great to see Class 40 D213 40013 Andania back in service after a thorough 20+ year restoration looking and sounding great. Hats off to the owners and everyone involved as the restoration looks top notch.
It seemed very strange to see Deltic 55007 Pinza again, even though we know it is 55022 Royal Scots Grey in disguise. I’m not overly sure about the concept of disguising loco identities but the commercial aspects for the owner is obvious. Nevertheless it was great to see an ex works condition Finsbury Park racehorse coloured Deltic, complete with white cab surrounds again.
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][ess_grid alias=”nymr-70s-diesel-gala-grid”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
Both small Sulzer Type 2 locos Class 25 D7628 (25278) and 26038 sounded great and 37264 looked good as an authentic Scottish large logo class 37.
From an operating point of view 26038 didn’t have the best of weekends, failing on both the Friday and Saturday. Saturdays failure caused quite significant delays. From a trading point of view we had a good couple of days despite the seemingly low number of attendees.
We are very much looking forward to going back to the NYMR railway for their Autumn Steam Gala running from 30th Sept to 2nd October.
We are at several other events this summer so drop by and see our unique pictures and digital paintings.
Thanks for reading
