GDMK Images Supplies Hinckley Estate Agent with Office Wall Art
Today I was delighted to be able to supply wall art for the office of Davis and Partners Estate Agents. Davis and Partners are located at 12 – 14 Rugby Road in Hinckley. Davis & Partners was established with one simple philosophy and goal: to be the estate agent that people WANT to deal with, first time, second time, every time.
A local Hinckley business has been able to cost effectively obtain office wall art whilst providing GDMK Images with another outlet to display and sell quality wall art.
Andy Davis originally saw my wall art on display in Alizzins Cave and made enquiries regarding my work. Very quickly we were able to agree the supply and display of wall art for his offices.

Keeping up to date with the latest news, irrespective of its subject matter seems so time-consuming these days. The internet has evolved into a heaving behemoth of news updates, analysis, reanalysis, repurposing and re-posting. Hi everybody, May and June have been extremely busy.
The biggest event was the opening of my retail outlet in Hinckley courtesy of Alizzins Cave. At last you have a chance to see the quality of my artwork in person.

Alizzins Cave
Alizzins Cave is a great little shop run by a friendly team of co-owners, Liz and Ali. Stock Photography
My stock photography sales are going well. Due to the background work with my shop outlet, I haven’t added anything new in the last three weeks. I have around 250 new images to upload over the next few weeks.
As with my existing portfolio, these images are not typical staged stock photography scenes. My work is ideal for editorial work and features real-life imagery. All people scenes are genuine candids in real world settings. Picfair Stock Photography
I am adding a selection of my stock photography to Picfair. Picfair offers a simpler and more straightforward license which may appeal to a different market segment than my Alamy collection.

There have been many new additions to the Wall Art picture collection. I am also in the process of adding another new wall art product. I have a new canvas print product that has a quality look and feel but is much easier on your pocket than the traditional canvas prints I offer.

I am pleased to announce that I now have a gallery and retail outlet in Hinckley. Courtesy of my very good friends at Alizzins Cave, a little shop with a big heart, you can now buy and view a selection of my ready to hang art work at 10 Rugby Road in Hinckley, Leicestershire.
Alizzins Cave is a great outlet for my art work. The shop is full of wonderful items of preloved goods ranging from shabby chic furniture through to kitchenware, househould goods and jewellery. Ali and Liz work in co-ordination with a local funding organisation. Each month the funding organisation recommends a local organisation who needs just a bit of help towards a specific goal. Alizzins Cave feature this organisation and donate an amount of their takings to this cause.
I cant thank Liz and Ali enough for this opportunity.

Another New Wall Art Product Available
Last month I mentioned I would be adding some new products to my wall art range. The new Acrylic Wall Prints and wooden ArtBlox have been launched and are now available to see and buy in the shop.
To coincide with the shop announcement, I have added a range of ready mounted prints to my range. The prints are sized 12″ x 8″ and are mounted to fit any standard 14″ x 11″ picture frame. April has been busy with quite a lot happening behind the scenes.
March ended with a visit to the Photography Show at Birminghams NEC. As usual there was a lot to see and do. I took the opportunity to look first hand at some new wall art products. As a result there will be some new additions to the catalogue for mounting images upon.
I was able to finally buy a Nikon D7200. The camera is pretty impressive and my initial reaction is positive. The D7200 feels a lot smaller in the hand than I expected. My only issue so far, is that Lightroom and Camera RAW still don’t support the new NEFs. I guess this is fair enough as all new releases take a while to get supported by 3rd party products. I am hoping when Lightroom 6 gets released (potentially this week) the NEF files will have support.
I have been looking at the first thousand or so images with Nikons View NX-I and I am impressed with the detail and resolution. I havent processed any so far as I have a structured Lightroom workflow and dont want to mess up the system – however tempted I am to get to grips with them!
Unfortunately I couldnt get the Sigma 150-600S lens at the Photography Show as planned. Following the show I did hire one for a week so I could get a sample of what the lens could do coupled to the D7200. All I can say is – WOW, what a combination!
As soon as supplies pick up I will be ordering one.
I am still reviewing and revising old blog posts as mentioned last month. Parts 2 & 3 of my Aviation Photography Techniques guide have been posted with part 4 coming over the next couple of weeks.
Both the stock photo and wall art photo portfolios are expanding with new and varied content. The new stock photography additions focus on the ongoing construction of ‘The Crescent’ shopping centre in Hinckley. For those not familiar with my websites or blogs, I am a UK based photographer and primarily shoot a mixture of Urban, Transport and Editorial style scenes.
I have two main portfolios, one featuring editorial style stock photography, which is available to buy via Alamy and a wider portfolio of photographic work available to buy as wall art and picture gifts.
Previously my portfolios and general internet presence was spread over several different hosts and providers. The overhaul and new look for the GDMK Images web presence bring my Stock and Wall Art portfolios together. The intention of these changes is to make it easier for customers to find the images they want, in the format they want, all from one central hub.
Much of the imagery is available in both portfolios and, therefore, available as both Commercial Stock imagery and mounted onto wall art products and gifts.
I have chosen to go with hosted services for my portfolios as I want to free as much time as possible to undertake the most important aspect of being a photographer – taking photos.
Alamy has repeatedly demonstrated they are extremely competent in managing both client and photographers needs so I am more than happy to let them manage my stock portfolio.
All my wall art products are produced by either One Vision Imaging or Loxley Colour.
Both portfolios are extensively keyworded so searching for pictures is very straightforward.
You will also find the GDMK Images Blog on these pages. My blog will feature a mix of photography techniques, news and location reports.
