VFA-84 – Jolly Rogers

VF-84 was initially founded in 1944 during World War 2 flying F4U Corsairs. The squadron was disbanded in 1945  after the end of WW2.

VF-84 was re-activated again in 1955 this time flying the FJ-3 Fury. Aircraft operated by the squadron included the F8 Crusader, F4 Phantom and F14 Tomcat before being deactivated in 1995.
