334th Fighter Squadron

The 334th Fighter Squadron was stood up in 1942 flying Spitfires as an Eagle Squadron of American volunteers pilots.

The squadron transitioned to P-47 Thunderbolts in 1943 and then on to the P-51D Mustang in 1944.

Following the Second World War, the 334th FS saw further action in the Korean War, Vietnam War and 1st Gulf War.
