Table 51 Window Label Gifts

Table 51 Window Label Gifts

These carriage window label gifts feature services from the old table 51 of the National BR Timetable. Table 51 was one of the most complex timetables and represented long distance routes along the legendary NE-SW corridor and featured services from the North East of England down to Devon, Cornwall and the South Coast. It also covered services from Manchester and Liverpool to the same destinations.

Table 51 saw all types of locos working services. Class 45 and 46 Peaks and Class 47s provided the backbone of traction with appearances from many other classes. Because of the long distance nature of the services, loco changes were necessary in some cases. As a result you could find almost any Class of loco working parts of table 51 services including Class 31, Class 37, Class 40, Class 50 and Class 55. On services originating from the NW of England, you would find any of the AC electric Classes 81-87.
