The Exchanges promises to be a great Steam Gala and is based on the 1948 Locomotive Exchange Trials

The Swanage Railway Autumn Steam Gala will bring together classes of locomotive that took part in British Railways’ experiment to test steam locomotives from across the Country on a variety of different work.
