Commemorating History

Commemorating our families military events and personal sacrifice has always been an important factor to us.

As the last of those involved in the conflicts that affected my upbringing slowly fade from living memory, it became ever more important to make sure those individuals and the events they took part in, were preserved.

Almost every family has a connection to military history in some form or another. A distant recollection of heroic deeds, bravery in the face of adversity or simple dogged determination to see a dirty job through to the end.

Our ability and desire to take these individuals and events and convert them into a meaningful commemorations for relatives is also a massive driver for us.

Each of these stories is unique to the individual and is at the heart of what GDMK Images provides – the ability to remember and commemorate unique memories in a personal commemoration.

We have created over 100 personal designs for families to remember and commemorate their individual veterans.

GDMK Images Event Stall

The GDMK Images stall was very active and could be seen at many railway galas and airshows around the country up until the Covid outbreak.

During our time on the show circuit we were extremely fortunate to make some great connections with Museums and Fund Raising Societies.

We saw at 1st hand the dedication and hard work owners and volunteers put in to raise funds for their chosen organisations.

We also listened to their pain points and got to understand how difficult the simple task of obtaining quality items at reasonable prices could be.

During Covid, we made a huge investment in our online infrastructure to ensure we could still offer our quality gifts to our loyal customers, but also, to adapt our systems to ensure those groups, many of which had now become friends, could survive and continue to raise funds for their projects.

The huge success of this change means we no longer actively attend shows and galas.
