Falklands War 40th Anniversary Commemorative Clothing Launched
Its hard to believe that 40 years ago the Falklands War started following the invasion of two small islands by Argentinian Forces.
I was 14 years old at the time and my first thought was how did the Argentinians get to a Scottish Island with no-one seeing them coming?
In reality, I think a large part of the British public had a geography lesson after reaching for their world atlas to see exactly where the Falkland Islands were!
Which Aircraft Are Part of the Falklands War 40th Anniversary Range?
The Falklands War brought out the best in British Military resolve, ingenuity, bravery and courage.
To commemorate the bravery of the aircrews involved in the conflict, I have created a 40th Anniversary Commemorative design featuring 4 aircraft types that were involved –
Sea Harrier FRS1
Harrier GR3
Vulcan B2
Victor K2
The full design features an outline of the Falkland Islands with the number 40 in red (red being symbolic of 40th anniversaries). Below the islands is a side profile of your chosen aircraft.
All 4 of the new Falkland’s War aircraft have been added to the veterans personalised range. Via these products you can create a truly personalised garment to commemorate your veterans service.
We are just back from a fantastic weekend at the American Airshow at the IWM Duxford.
The American Airshow 2016 was a good event. There was lots of great flying (well the bits I got to see were very impressive). It seems the crowd numbers were down – a result of the advance ticket policy? I know a lot of people without tickets were turned away from the gates.
From our perspective it was a successful weekend despite the low crowd numbers.
We had a blast chatting to those visiting our art stall. Ted Gets a C-47 Dakota Flight
The highlight of the event for us was Ted making a new friend called Loon. Loons guardians, Andrew and Geraldine, dropped by the stall when they saw a black and white picture for sale on our stall. It turns out it was a picture of their steed for the weekend – C47A Dakota N147DC. After a lovely chat, they invited Ted to fly in the Dakota during the display on Saturday! Well what could we say? Before we knew it Ted was off and away for his VIP trip. I am sooo jealous of that little bear!!!!

Interesting Discussion Generated
My Vulcan digital art picture is always a popular picture wherever I go. As this was our first airshow, it was particularly interesting to listen to the knowledgeable airshow photographers who stopped by. Much discussion was had on whether it was a photograph or art. Even more discussion focussed on its merits as art. Some questioned why someone would sell a badly blurred photo. Others were commending a stunning piece of aviation artwork. It was very entertaining overhearing the banter between friends when opinions differed!
I’m glad the picture does exactly what art should do – generate debate! I’ll side with those customers who bought the picture. Several versions were bought including framed, on canvas and on a wooden block, those people obviously know their art!

GDMK Images Event Stall
The second change will be the increased visibility of the GDMK Images event stall. The stall is now booked to attend 20+ events between now and Christmas including
The changes are for many reasons, but the predominant change was the success of the Summer Events stall. My wife had the crazy idea to take my art out to a couple of summer events with our good friends at Alizzins Cave. The reception, feedback and demand to my work was overwhelming. In short, as a result of the success of the event stall, she has taken the marketing and product range to a whole new height.
GDMK Images is primarily about supplying wall art and editorial stock imagery. The photography and creating digital art will remain my focus and will still be the central focus of GDMK Images. My wife will be taking the photographic and digital art and marketing it as unique gifts through the website and at events around the country.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

With the changes, now seems a good idea to announce the imminent launch of the GDMK Images wall art rental scheme. Very shortly, both home owners and businesses, will be able to rent wall art from GDMK Images for very affordable rates. The GDMK Images range of t-shirts were successfully launched at our stall at the Shackerstone family festival. The designs were very well received and sold well. Many of you asked about the availability of the designs in childrens sizes.

Last weekend saw the official launch of the new GDMK Images t-shirts at the Shackerstone Family Festival.
There are currently 3 t-shirt designs available.
The first design features my extremely popular Vulcan Bomber digital painting. This image features a Vulcan Bomber taking off in a rainstorm.
This design is available on a Heather Grey or plain Black t-shirt.
The second design is available in white only and features English Electric Class 50 loco 50049 Defiance.

T-Shirt Sizes and Pricing

For those who were enquiring at the Shackerstone Festival about the availability of childrens sizes, I can confirm that childrens sizes will be added very shortly so keep checking back for details.
